As with many progressive organizations these days, we here at ETS! find ourselves with a bit of a problem. Of late, we've been spending a lot of time focusing on ideas for generating money to cover operating expenses. Unfortunately, this has been taking away valuable time from the writing of articles/stories at ETS! So, to get ourselves (and you along with us) to a point where we can just focus on the stories, ideas, and events, we are seeking out 20 rare individuals who are willing to commit that elusive commodity that greases the wheels of resistance and allows our voices to be heard. MONEY.

Our plan is to publicly (or privately, if you'd rather remain anonymous) applaud 20 "Pillars of Community" who agree to step forward and commit $1,000 a year (for two years). That will give ETS! a base of $20,000 per year to work from. That's about 70 percent of our current operating budget, and would allow us to focus exclusively on the phenomenal writing you've come to expect from ETS!--without our volunteer base going into financial crisis mode every three months from lack of funds.

BUT WAIT! As if being an ETS! "Pillar of Community" and making all this possible isn't enough, there's more! In addition, each contributor would receive:

A permanent subscription to ETS!. Free admission to all ETS! events held throughout the year. Free ETS! paraphernalia produced each year (last year: the t-shirt and calendar). ETS! Club Card: present this to any ETS! distributor and take as many free papers as you like!

So we are asking those of you that have the finances and more importantly have the understanding of how important it is to keep organizations/newsletters like ETS! working for all of us in our community, to grab your checkbook, step forward, and join us in keeping alternative and progressive voices heard above the white noise coming out of corporate boardrooms.
