Activist Calendar
Last week, ETS! published its usual two-week activist calendar, which is
still available in Vol. 6 #1 or at our web site, www.eatthestate.org. This
calendar is devoted specifically to events, planned as of Sunday, Sep. 16,
related to the terrorist attack and U.S. response.

ONGOING:
An ad hoc coalition, involving numerous peace and social justice groups and
individuals, is forming rapidly to call for a measured U.S. response to
last week's terrorist attacks. It is discussing helping to mobilize for
Saturday's Afghan-organized rally, and possibly planning a major public
rally Sept. 29, to coincide with the large protest in Washington, DC that
has been transformed from an anti-World Bank/I.M.F. direct action to a
peace vigil and rally. For more information, contact Fred Miller at
Washington Peace Action, 206-523-8050, or the voice mail at Eat the State!,
206-903-9461.
For an excellent and much, much longer compilation of upcoming and
ongoing progressive events in Seattle, check out Jean Buskin's Peace
Calendar: http://www.scn.org/activism/calendar/ or e-mail her at
