It's that time of year again: twice a year, Eat the State! Asks for your subscriptions and donations to help defray our publishing costs. Last winter's fundraising drive helped us erase printing debt, and so now we have our sights set higher. We'd like to expand to 12 pages per issue.

These days, we're getting more good submissions than we have room to print. If we went to 12 pages, we'd have room for a few more ads, but basically we'd need to rely on your generosity and support-much as the flow of donations in the days leading up to the invasion of Iraq enabled us to sustain 12 page publication for over a year. We'd like to make that permanent, and in doing so add more local news, more culture, more letters, and more features. We've got the ideas-we just need the money to make them happen.

So help fill the ETS! crock pot! Our goal over the next month is an ambitious $6,000. With your help, we can make it happen, and launch 12 page publication after Labor Day (and just in time for us to begin our 10th year of publication!).
