Half full, half empty--help us fill the rest!

by ETS! kitchen crew

Well, the holidays are over, a new year has begun, and our fund-raising crockpot is halfway full. We are extremely grateful to all our readers who have donated. These donations are vital to our ability to maintain our bootstraps (printing and postage) in this bootstrap operation. We simply could not publish Eat the State! without your generosity. (If we knew any other way to make ends meet, we'd do it.) Of course, half full also means half empty, so once again we plead with readers who have not yet contributed during this donation cycle. We hope to meet our goal over the next few weeks so we can quit bugging you with our begging. In the meantime, we do what we have to do.... Did we mention premiums? We want to give you every incentive to donate perhaps a larger amount than you might otherwise, so we offer you bribes ... er, gifts ... for donations of $50 or more. To review, you can choose between (1) Paul Loeb's anthology The Impossible Will Take A Little While, (2) a DVD of British MP George Galloway's appearance at UW this fall, or (3) your choice of tapes from the catalog of Alternative Radio. Donations of $100 or more get any two of these. Of course, you don't have to take any of these premiums, but if you do want something in return for your donation, be sure to indicate which one[s], along with your mailing address. While larger donations are certainly appreciated, and help us reach our goal more quickly, you don't have to donate $50 to make a difference. Any donation of any size is greatly appreciated, and will help move us forward. You can donate either via Paypal on our web site (eatthestate.org) or by sending a check to our PO box. Thanks for your support. Together, let's continue to kick some ass in 2006!
