Join Philippine-US Solidarity Organization, BAYAN-USA, Northwest Committee for Human Rights in the Philippines, Pinay sa Seattle, AnakBayan Seattle and the Seattle community to commemorate those who have died from Human Rights violations in the U.S. and internationally. On Dec 10, 1948, the United Nations adopted the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Participants are asked to wear black out of respect for the victims and the funeral theme. Independent media strategy for hurricane survivors Join independent media activists and hurricane survivors for a meeting to organize media and outreach for survivors in the Seattle area and the upcoming Caravan Lagniappe trip to New Orleans. Assistance is needed to help create a multimedia website to cover the caravan and also to help reunite people who have been separated since the hurricanes. Independent media support is needed to help record audio and video interviews with evacuees and build global awareness and support for Lagniappe Caravan and hurricane survivors in the Puget Sound and all around the nation.
