This issue of ETS! marks the eighth week of our 2006 fund-raising drive, and with $2,250 raised so far toward our goal of $6,000, we could obviously still use a little more help. If we were a high-powered public affairs fund-raising machine, such as local folks KUOW-FM or KCTS-TV, by now wed be pouring some serious guilt-tripping on our readers who havent yet donated. But thats not what were about, people. Here at ETS!, in these exciting post-Bush Era times, were all about ... hope! Thats right: the hope of seeing a decisive end to the Iraq occupation in 2007, the hope of seeing Darth Cheney forced through the excruciatingly public meatgrinder of an investigation into Halliburtons war profiteering, and, of course, the hope that the holdouts among you will find the will and the way to help ETS! cover our printing costs for another year!

Just to remind you of how important our fund-raising drives are to us, remember that ETS! is a volunteer-run organization, with no paid staff, so most of our money goes directly into printing the paper. As it says in the Tiny Print, the more money we have, the more pages, and papers, we can printits that simple!
