The Cockburn Factor

ETS!,

I don't understand why you continue to publish Alexander Cockburn. He doesn't engage in authentic argument, where you propose a thesis and then back it up with evidence. He dismisses out of hand any of the legitimate questions surrounding 9/11 with ad hominems. I don't buy into everything that the 9/11 Truthers put out. But the fact remains that there are too many issues that just won't go away. A new and real investigation is justified. Whether that is politically likely, is beside the point. In fact, A.C. has admitted to not really knowing anything about the issues questioning the official story of 9/11. Yet he continues to rant against the "conspiracy nuts" while refusing to enter into serious debate. He is even a global warming denier; just look at the back and forth articles with George Monbiot on global warming. Monbiot always makes his arguments respectfully, clearly and backs them up with hard evidence, while Cockburn is nothing but vitriol. I have no respect for either a right-wing or a left-wing Bill O'Reilly.

As far as I am concerned Alexander Cockburn is intellectually dishonest. Lose him.
