Thank You For Sending Us A (Financial) Angel

As we approach the gauntlet of the 2007 holiday season, we here at ETS! find ourselves once again facing the facts of finances, wondering when the love will come to our building on fire. Yes, it's pledge drive time once again--with a special pop-music-referential twist! Indeed, financial travails aren't for artists only: independent media outlets like ETS! also have a perpetual tendency to stay hungry--especially in life during wartime!

Truth be told, our financial house has been on fire ever since ETS! was born under punches back in 1996. (And oh what a happy day that was!) Truly, financial solvency has always tended to be fairly elusive hereabouts, but lately we've been noticing especially strong warning signs and puzzlin' evidence that our ol' crockpot needs a fresh infusion of cash. Right now, we need money to catch up with past publication expenses, not to mention keep publishing fresh issues. Our fundraising goal for this particular drive is $5,000, just enough to pull us up into 2008.

So we're calling once again on you. Dear readers, if you've given to ETS! before, many thanks, but hey, why donate only once in a lifetime? We understand what the holiday season can mean to all of our perpetually tenuous financial situations. Any donation you can make, major or minor, will help us continue pulling up the roots of governmental malfeasance and other evidence of slippery people in the democratic circus. Your contribution to the ETS! crockpot will give us the ability to continue to keep on with this job we love--as well as keep our house in motion, rather than burning down!
